Today my heart is aching for our family

canine friends; Maximus who I called Mac

and Dino (also known as Mr. Beans).

We'll never know what caused Mac to snap

that Saturday morning, when he flew through

the screened window and Attacked without

warning.

Dawn tried her best to get the dogs to part

but there was no stopping these gladiators

from the start...

Eric sped to the rescue, guided by hands

from above, To stop this bloody battle

and save the ones he loved.

Mr. Beans will be okay, but we'll not forget

that fateful day; that Saturday,

when all sanity was vanquished away.

Now Mac is waiting at the Rainbow Bridge,

no more to suffer the hell that raged within.

No longer to be our trusted friend.

Now he's free,

just as I believe he wanted to be.
