Promises made to you and broken, do they matter?

What matters are the promises you've kept.

Untruths spoken to you, without conscience, do they matter?

What matters are the truths that you've spoken.

Hurtful words spoken to you without remorse, do they matter?

What matters are words of healing you've spoken.

So you see: the broken promises.

The untruths spoken without conscience

And pain inflicted without remorse,

The sting of these things does not matter.

So walk and hold your head up high remembering:

We must sow to reap and we must reap what we've sown.
